GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Men's Basketball looks to continue their win streak this week as they travel to Davis & Elkins on Wednesday (Feb. 12) and host West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday (Feb. 8) for Winter Homecoming.

THE OPPONENTS
DAVIS & ELKINS
2024-25 Season
The Senators are (9-13, 5-9 MEC) and are currently ranked 9th in the Mountain East Conference. In their first matchup against the Pioneers this season at the Waco Center, the Senators would lose 72-65.
Head Coach
Daniel Harris is in his first season as the Head Coach of the Davis & Elkins Men's Basketball program. Prior to becoming HC, Harris was the assistant coach with the Senators under Dan Mondragen, where the team would achieve its first back-to-back winning seasons in 69 years.
Quick Look at The Senators
The Senators were led by Sam Rolle IV, who was averaging 15 points, three rebounds, three assists, and one steal per game before his injury. Forward Nicolas Silva is now leading the team as he is averaging 13 points and six rebounds per game. The last player averaging double-digits for the Senators is Charleston Ponds, who is averaging 10 points along with four rebounds per game. As a team on defense, the Senators are averaging six steals and two blocks per game.
WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN
2024-25 Season
The Bobcats are in last place in the Mountain East Conference with a record of (5-17, 2-12 MEC). In their first matchup against the Pioneers, the Bobcats took the win on their home court, 84-78.
Head Coach
Derek Sloan is in his fourth season as the Head Coach of the Bobcats. Prior to his head coaching stint, he was an assistant coach at WVWC.

Alex Mirhosseini leads the Bobcats, averaging 16 points, three rebounds, four assists and a steal per game. Micheal Batchelor and Anthony Crosby are both averaging 13 points a game while Curtis Litton and Stephen Ovia are both averaging nine points a game. Alex Gray is leading the Bobcats on the boards with six rebounds a game. On defense, the Bobcats are averaging six steals and two blocks a game as a team.

2024-25 Season
The Pioneers, after winning both matchups last week, increased their record to (12-10, 6-8 MEC) and climbed to 6th in the Mountain East Conference standings. After last week's play, the Pioneers are now ranked 1st on defense in the MEC.

Devin Collins leads the way for the Pioneers this season as he is averaging 16 points and five rebounds. Freshman Ammar Maxwell continues to be excellent as he is averaging 13 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal per game this season. Senior guard Sameir Kinsler is averaging 11 points and one steal a game for GSU. Freshman Don Colon-Lewis is averaging 10 points, four rebounds, and a steal while the other freshman Elijah Redfern is averaging eight points, two rebounds and two assists. Prince Mosengo is close to averaging a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds per game.
