GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Head Coach Mike Kellar and the Glenville State Football program have announced their three non-conference opponents for the 2025 season.

The Pioneers, who are coming off an historic 2024 campaign where they finished 2^nd in the MEC, have solidified a non-conference schedule with two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) foes and one South Atlantic Conference (SAC) member. Of the three opening games, one will be home and two will be played on the road.

Glenville State will complete its home and home series with Emory & Henry to kick off the 2025 campaign in Week 0, the lone home game for the Pioneers during the non-conference portion of the schedule. The August 30^th matchup will be a rematch of last year's season opener, one that belonged to the (9-2, 6-2 SAC) Wasps at Fred Selfe Stadium. Time and location for the home opener is currently TBA.

GSU heads to Pennsylvania for their Week 1 (Sept. 6) matchup under the lights with Lock Haven the following week, the opening game for LHU in 2025 which is set to kickoff at 6 p.m. This is also the backend of a home and home series, as Glenville State hosted the (5-6, 3-4 PSAC) Bald Eagles in 2024. This will be just the third-ever meeting between the two squads and the second-ever trip for the Pioneers to Lock Haven, with the last coming in 2008 when GSU shut out the Bald Eagles, 30-0.

The Pioneers wrap up the non-conference schedule with another away game, traveling north to PSAC member Millersville for a more traditional kickoff of 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 13. The Marauders are coming off a struggling 2024 campaign, going (1-10) overall and winless in the PSAC. The Week 2 matchup will be the fifth-ever meeting between Glenville State and Millersville, with MU winning the previous four matchups (1986, 2003, 2004, 2005).

Glenville State, in coordinance with the Mountain East Conference, will release the 2025 MEC schedule at a later date.
