GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State athletes Emma McLean and Austin Corn have been selected GoMart Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced.

McLean, a junior out of Hebron, Ohio, went 6-for-11 with one home run, six RBIs, three doubles, three walks and two stolen bases in the Pioneers (3-1) weekend. In Friday's sweep of Salem, the centerfielder had a 2-for-3 game one with two RBIs and two doubles while notching two RBIs and a double on a 3-for-3 game two performance. Against Point Park, she tallied a home run and two RBIs in game one to cap off her weekend.

Corn, a senior from Lithia, Fla., went six innings in the Pioneers game four win over Davis & Elkins this weekend, striking out 11 with just one earned run allowed on two hits and three walks. Corn struck out two in the top of the 3rd and struck out the side in the 5th, eventually ending his day with two strikeouts in the 6th. He also induced six groundballs in the victory, eventually earning MEC-Co Pitcher of the Week.
