GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State athletes Addy Cottrill & Nick Pitchford have been named GoMart Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced.

Cottrill, a transfer from Frostburg State, broke the school record in the hammer throw after Janae Scott had broken it earlier in the meet. Cottrill had a throw of 48.90m to take the record and place 2^nd at the UC Golden Eagle Invite.

Pitchford, a true freshman out of Eleanor, W.Va., broke the 37-year-old school record in the 1500m run, crossing at 3:54:57. The Buffalo HS product also placed second in the event when he crushed the 1988 school record that was held by the legendary Bubby Dent.
