LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Glenville State Softball junior
Kylie Burdick and senior
Makenna Negley have been named to the NFCA All-Region Second Team, the association announced.
Burdick, an All-MEC First Team selection, spearheaded the pitching staff for the Pioneers with a 1.84 ERA, 21-10 W-L record, 19 complete games, 10 shutouts and 109 strikeouts in 33 appearances (28 starts). Burdick hurled 183 innings on the year, most notably tossing a no-hitter against West Virginia State earlier in the season. She was also an All-MEC Tournament team selection as well.
Negley, who hails from Butler, Pa., batted just under. 400 at .399 with a .979 OPS, 2 HR, 35 RBIs, 19 doubles, team-leading 65 hits and eight walks in 53 starts for the Pioneers in 2025. Negley broke the GSU single-season doubles record and came just one shy of breaking the GSU all-time doubles record. Negley was a core piece of the blue and white's lineup all year long, landing second on the team in SLG% and OPS.
