GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State athletes Kylie Burdick and Carlos De Jesus have captured the final GoMart Pioneers of the Week of the 2024-25 school year, the GSU Athletic Department announced.

Burdick, an All-MEC First Team pitcher, started all four games for the Pioneers at the 2025 MEC Softball Tournament last week, picking up wins over Wheeling and Point Park. The junior out of Cincinnati, Ohio had two complete games, including a shutout over WU, to land on the All-Tournament team. Burdick walked just one batter in 22 innings of work and also struck out six.

De Jesus, a Brandon, Fla. native, went 7-for-15 with a home run, six RBIs, one double and two walks. He headlined the Pioneers thrilling comeback over Concord in game two of the series, when he had a bases-clearing double in the gap to walk it off, completing a four-run comeback in the bottom of the 7^th. De Jesus had his best performance on day two of the four-game series, going 4-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs while notching another hit in the final game of the weekend.
