GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Track & Field and Cross Country Head Coach Dan Meyers has announced the signing of 11 student-athletes to the 2025 Cross Country roster.

Seven will join the men's program while the remaining four will join the Pioneer women's program in the fall with all 11 signees having four years of eligibility remaining.

Landon Griffith (Fr. | Kingwood, W.Va. | Preston County)
Attended Preston County High School in Kingwood, W.Va. … Finished 19^th at 2024 Class AAA State Championships … Placed 11^th at 2024 Class AAA Region 1 Championship … Notched a 6^th place finish at 2024 Big 10 Conference Championships … Also ran track for the Knights where he qualified for states in the 3200m run, 4x400m relay and 4x800m relay.

Lance Busse (Fr. | Nitro, W.Va. | Nitro)
Went to Nitro High School in Nitro, W.Va. … Placed 19^th at 2024 Class AAA Region 4 Championship … Finished 4^th at 2024 Kanawha County Championships … Ran track as well for the Wildcats.

Trent Hinkle (Fr. | Clay, W.Va. | Clay County)
Attended Clay County High School in Clay, W.Va. … Logged a 26^th place finish at 2024 Class AA Region 3 Championship … Also ran track for the Panthers.

Darius Gray (Fr. | Ridgeley, W.Va. | Frankfort)
Went to Frankfort High School in Ridgeley, W.Va. … Finished 14^th at 2024 Class AA State Championships … Tallied an 8^th place finish at 2024 Class AA Region 2 Championship … Ran track for the Falcons as well where he won the 2025 T&F Class AA Region 2 Championship in the 4x800m relay and placed 3^rd at states.

Quentin Collier (Fr. | Bridgeport, W.Va. | Bridgeport)
Attended Bridgeport High School in Bridgeport, W.Va. … Finished 19^th at 2024 Class AAA Region 1 Championship … Placed 21^st at 2024 Big 10 Conference Championships … Also ran track for the Indians where he qualified for states in the 4x400m relay and 4x800m relay.

Luke Barr (Fr. | Summersville, W.Va. | Nicholas County)
Went to Nicholas County High School in Summersville, W.Va. … Finished 20^th at 2024 Class AA State Championships … Placed 4^th at 2024 Class AA Region 3 Championship … Also placed 4^th at 2024 Coalfield Conference Championships … Ran track for the Grizzly Bears where he qualified for states in the 800m run, 1-mile run and 4x400m relay.

Attended Abbeygate Sixth Form College in Bury St Edmunds, England … Competed in the Suffolk County Schools Championships … Also ran in the Anglian Schools' Championships

Ella Austin (Fr. | Huntington, W.Va. | Huntington)
Went to Huntington High School in Huntington, W.Va. … Placed 31^st at 2024 Class AAA Region 4 Championship ... Had a ninth place finish at the Gallia Academy Invitational … Also competed in the Mountain State Athletic Conference Championships … Ran track for the Highlanders as well where she placed 6^th in the 2-mile run at the 2025 Class AAA Region 4 Championship and MSAC Championship.

Raegan Sisk (Fr. | Fairmont, W.Va. | Fairmont Senior)
Attended Fairmont Senior High School in Fairmont, W.Va. … Finished 28^th at 2024 Class AAA Region 1 Championship … Notched a 13^th place finish at 2025 Big 10 Conference Championships … Ran track for the Polar Bears where she finished 10^th in the 2-mile run at the 2025 Class AAA Region 1 Championship.

Laura Cain (Fr. | Napier, W.Va. | Braxton County)
Went to Braxton County High School in Sutton, W.Va. … Placed 2^nd at 2024 Class A State Championships … Also finished 2^nd at 2024 Class A Region 2 Championship and LKC Championships … Won Tucker County High School XC Invitational … Placed in top 10 of all 11 races she ran in for Braxton County … Won the USATF West Virginia Association Junior Olympic Championships and eventually ran in the Foot Locker South Regional XC Championships and the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships … Was also a standout for the Eagles T&F team … Qualified for states in 2025 in the 800m run, 1-mile run, 2-mile run and 4x800m relay … Won the Class A Region 2 Championship in the 1-mile run, 2-mile run and 4x800m relay … At states, she placed 6^th in the 800m run and 1-mile run, 3^rd in the 2-mile run and 2^nd in the 4x800m relay.

Bethany Payne (Fr. | Exchange, W.Va. | Braxton County)
Attended Braxton County High School in Sutton, W.Va. … Placed 13^th at 2024 Class A State Championships … Finished 10^th at 2024 Class A Region 2 Championship … Notched a 22^nd place finish at 2024 LKC Championships … Also ran track for the Eagles … Qualified for states in the 400m dash, 4x400m relay and 4x800m relay … Placed 5^th in the 400m dash, 3^rd in the 4x400m relay and 2^nd in the 4x800m relay at states … Won the 2025 Class A Region 2 Championship in the 4x400m relay and 4x800m relay.
