GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The first GoMart Pioneers of the Week for 2025-26 have been announced as
Natalie Barr and
Mikayla Curry are Co-Female Pioneers of the Week while
Patrick Reilly is the Male Pioneer of the Week presented by GoMart.
Barr, a junior out of Canvas, W.Va., broke her own school record in the 5k this weekend for the Pioneer Women's Cross Country team, as the Nicholas County High School product ran a time of 18:29. Her finish was good enough for 3
rd at the West Liberty Invite.
Curry helped lead the Pioneer Volleyball team to a (3-1) start this weekend at the GSU Tournament, notching 32 kills, team-high 10 blocks, 10 digs, three service aces and three assists. The Long Beach, Calif. native had her best game in the final contest of the tournament when she produced 12 kills, four blocks, four digs and one assist against West Virginia Wesleyan.
Reilly, a member of the Pioneer Men's Cross Country team, started off his 2025 season with a personal best and third-place finish at the West Liberty Invite at 19:08. Reilly is coming off of a 2024 season that saw the Buffalo High School (W.Va.) product win MEC Freshman of the Year.
