GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Men's Basketball put together one of its most complete performances of the season Saturday (Jan. 10) afternoon, overwhelming West Virginia Wesleyan, 99–74, inside the Waco Center. The Pioneers controlled the game from start to finish, showcasing balance, depth, and relentless energy on both ends of the floor to earn their fourth straight Mountain East Conference victory and fifth overall win, improving to (9-5, 4-3 MEC).
1st Half
Glenville wasted little time setting the tone. Don Colon-Lewis opened the scoring and quickly established himself on both ends, while Prince Mosengo controlled the paint with physical finishes and second-chance opportunities. The Pioneers pushed the tempo early, forcing turnovers and converting them into easy points in transition.
As the half progressed, Glenville's ball movement carved up the Wesleyan defense. Elijah Redfern orchestrated the offense, finding shooters on the perimeter and cutters at the rim. Corey Boulden knocked down multiple threes to stretch the floor, and Callum Crossman provided an immediate spark off the bench with rim runs and hustle plays.
Behind efficient shooting and a steady defensive presence, Glenville steadily built its lead and entered halftime firmly in control, up 51–35.
2nd Half
Any thought of a Wesleyan comeback was quickly erased after the break. GSU opened the second half with a decisive run fueled by Mosengo's interior dominance and Colon-Lewis' versatility, ballooning the lead past 20.
Crossman continued to make his presence felt off the bench, finishing through contact and protecting the rim on the defensive end in what marked a season-high performance. Boulden stayed hot from deep, drilling his fourth three of the game as Glenville's lead climbed past 30.
Redfern and Colon-Lewis each recorded double-doubles, controlling the game with poise and consistency, while the Pioneers' depth wore Wesleyan down over the final ten minutes. The afternoon was capped in emphatic fashion when Julian Kelly threw down a highlight-reel dunk at the buzzer, igniting the Waco Center and punctuating a dominant team performance.
