GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Softball will be down in Florida for the next five days to play eight games in the popular THE Spring Games, which houses over 1,100 games over a month-plus span in all divisions of collegiate softball. The Pioneers will play two games each on Friday (Mar. 6), Saturday (Mar. 7), Monday (Mar. 9) and Tuesday (Mar. 10).

GLENVILLE STATE
2026 Season
Glenville State is off to the hottest start in program history, entering the sunshine state with a (7-1) record and six-game winning streak. The Pioneers went (4-0) at the SMSC Classic, winning games over Bowie State, Seton Hill, Gannon and D'Youville while capturing three victories at the Big Region Preseason Invitational in Tennessee to start the 2026 campaign.

Shelby McDaniels and Hanah Howe have been mightily impressive with the bat this season, as Howe has notched a home run and both have 10 RBIs with McDaniels swinging it at a .545 AVG and Howe at .409. McDaniels has also added a team-leading five doubles.
Delaney Warnick is batting .500 with 10 RBIs and is tied for second on the team in hits with 12. Former Saint Peter's transfer
Zailees Seda has been on an early season tear for sixth-year head coach
Sara Scoone, batting .640 with 16 hits (in 25 at-bats), three doubles, one triple and six RBIs.
On the mound, senior
Kylie Burdick has been elite thus far. The NFCA DII National Pitcher of the Week from two weeks ago has a 0.26 ERA, (4-0) record, four complete games in four starts, three shutouts and 23 strikeouts in 27 innings pitched on the year. Youngstown State transfer
Maci Boggess has made two starts and pitched eight innings, flashing a 0.88 ERA and (1-0) record in her starts.
Meghan Stump (2-0, 1.56 ERA in 9.0 IP) and
AndiJo Howard (2.63 ERA in 8.0 IP) have also been reliable options for Coach Scoone in the circle.
