GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Glenville State Softball team received their highest regional ranking in program history this week, coming in at No. 4 in the NCAA DII Atlantic Regional Rankings, the association announced.
The Pioneers enter the final week of the regular season (35-13) overall and (20-6) in MEC play, recently going (5-1) last week with a split against Concord and sweeps of Point Park and Salem. Glenville State, who is (27-10) in the region, is one of three Mountain East Conference teams in the rankings. Current MEC South Division leader Charleston is 5
th while North Division leader Fairmont State is 10
th.
GSU will travel to Davis & Elkins on Thursday (Apr. 30) before concluding the regular season at West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday (May 1). The Mountain East Conference Tournament kicks off next Wednesday (May 6) in Salem, Va.
