BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Glenville State Softball star
Delaney Warnick has earned D2 Conference Communications Association (D2CCA) First Team All-Region honors, the association announced.
Warnick, a junior out of Perryopolis, Pa., is having one of the best, if not
the best, season in GSU softball history in 2026. The standout shortstop is batting .393 with a 1.208 OPS, 70 hits, 28 walks, 11 doubles, one triple, 16 home runs and 65 RBIs this season in 62 games. Since April 4
th, Warnick has hit 14 homers and upped her average from .347 to .393, with a bulk of her phenomenal second half of the season coming at the MEC Tournament, where she hit .545 with 6 HR, 18 RBIs and was named Tournament MVP.
She was a big part in the Pioneers clinching their ticket to the program's first-ever NCAA DII Atlantic Super Regional over the weekend, going 6-for-8 with a home run, three doubles, eight RBIs and 10 walks in five games at the Atlantic Regional Tournament.
Warnick and the Pioneers face Kutztown on Thursday (May 21) at 2 p.m. at North Campus Softball Field in game one of the Super Regional.
