INDIANA, Pa. – Glenville State University Athletics Senior Woman Administrator Kristen Tunno has been inducted into the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) Athletics Hall of Fame.

"The contributions she has made to our institution here at Glenville and our department as well- they are numerous and instrumental...I am very proud of her for this prestigious enshrinement," said AD Jesse Skiles.

Tunno, the former head softball coach at Glenville State, was inducted into the IUP Athletics Hall of Fame for her superb playing career from 2008-11 with the Crimson Hawks' softball program.

She was a standout for IUP softball from 2008-11, showing steady growth throughout her career as the team improved from 17 wins to 19 wins, then back-to-back 38-win seasons. Tunno helped lead IUP to a 2011 PSAC Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance while finishing her career ranked second in program history with a .370 batting average. In 2009, she hit .390, which ranks sixth all-time at IUP, and finished with 192 career hits.

"Kristen produced an incredible career at IUP, and helped lead that program to the World Series during her time there...to this day, she remains as the #2 all-time leading hitter in that program's history," added Skiles.
