GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Women's Basketball head coach Emily Stoller has announced the return of standout guard Carine Pinkney for the 2026-27 season. Pinkney was granted an additional year of eligibility following a waiver submitted to the NCAA.

Pinkney, an All-MEC First Team performer a year ago, led the Lady Pioneers in scoring with 14.5 PPG and shot 51% from the field. Pinkney added 3.1 RPG and 2.0 APG to her season totals, helping Glenville State to a regular season Mountain East Conference championship, a MEC Tournament championship game appearance and a bid into the NCAA DII Atlantic Region Tournament. 

The 5-foot guard from Annapolis, Md. spent one season at Frostburg State before transferring to Salem for two seasons, where she would miss a majority of the 2024-25 season due to injury.

Glenville State opens the 2026-27 season on November 13 against Gannon in the Atlantic Region Challenge.
