GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Women's Soccer dropped a 3-0 decision to Frostburg State on Wednesday evening (Sept. 23) at Ike & Sue Morris Stadium, marking the Pioneers first home loss of 2026. The Bobcats scored once in the opening half before adding two second-half goals as GSU moved to (4-4) overall and (4-2) in Mountain East Conference play.
1st Half
Frostburg State applied pressure early and broke through in the 16th minute when Ridgely Houck converted a penalty kick to give the Bobcats a 1-0 advantage. The Pioneers responded with several opportunities of their own, including a shot from Luiza Rodrigues Siecola that was saved in the 20th minute and a chance from Isabella Cuellar-Gutierrez later in the half. Frostburg goalkeeper Mia Graff made key stops to keep Glenville State off the scoreboard.
Lucia Lopez kept the Pioneers within striking distance, recording two first-half saves as Frostburg carried a 1-0 lead into halftime.
2nd Half
Glenville State came out aggressively after the break and generated several scoring chances. Sofia Jalaksova forced a save early in the half, while Marcelle Stoller, Valentina Quiroz, Aitana Viejo and Solares Solano each placed shots on target as the Pioneers searched for a score.
The Bobcats doubled their lead in the 72nd minute when Mollie Rebuck finished a pass from Madison Hobson. Frostburg added another goal just under 10 minutes later as Reese Rizzo scored off an assist from Ana Davis to extend the advantage to 3-0. Despite continuing to push forward and matching Frostburg with seven shots on goal, Glenville State was unable to get past Graff, who finished with the shutout victory.

The Bobcats held a 13-10 advantage in total shots and converted three of their seven shots on goal. Mollie Rebuck and Reese Rizzo each scored in the second half, while Ridgely Houck opened the scoring with a first-half penalty kick. Mia Graff recorded seven saves to earn the clean win.
Glenville State
The Pioneers placed seven of their 10 shots on target, led by multiple opportunities throughout the second half. Lucia Lopez finished with four saves on goal, while Glenville State matched Frostburg with two corner kicks. The Pioneers were called for 11 fouls and received one yellow card.
