THE PIONEERS
The Pioneers will begin their season at the Thundering Herd XC Invite, where they also opened up their season three years ago. This meet will be a great opportunity for the team to compete against some of the greatest runners in West Virginia.

The team has 17 returning runners, including Natalie Barr, Nick Pitchford, Jenna Barnett, and Patrick Reilly. Along with two big transfers, Tammy Liplin and Alex Irvin that will help push the Pioneers this season.

Head Coach Dan Meyers also recruited a young trio from Cabell Midland High School, which Meyers stated on the Pioneer Coaches Show, "These guys have definitely added some depth on our back end." On the women's side, the team added two freshmen from Preston County as well, Autumn and Delilah Myers.

The MEC Preseason Coaches Poll tabbed the women 4th and the men 5th, which has Coach Dan Meyers ecstatic about what this season holds. With a strong mix of returning runners and new additions, the team is looking to make a strong statement as they begin the long road of the season.
