THE OPPONENTS
PITT-JOHNSTOWN
The Mountain Cats enter (3-1) following an 80-57 defeat at Saginaw Valley State (Mich.) last Monday. UPJ and the Lady Pioneers met last season in Johnstown with GSU winning 79-62.

Mike Drahos is in his 11th season leading the Pitt-Johnstown Women's Basketball program. Drahos was tabbed the man to lead the program into the PSAC in 2013-14 (his first season), leading the Mountain Cats to five PSAC Tournament appearances and over 100 victories as HC. Also during his tenure, he has coached nine All-PSAC West Selections. Prior to UPJ, Drahos was an assistant at West Liberty for five seasons.

Peyton Alazaus is the leading scorer for Pitt-Johnstown, averaging 16.5 PPG on 40% shooting from the field and 41% from behind the arc. Cassidy Crawford is second on the team in scoring at 14.0 PPG and first on the squad in both rebounding (7.3 RPG) and assists (3.0 APG). Hayden Taylor is the only other double-digit scorer at 11.3 PPG.

NOTRE DAME COLLEGE
The Falcons come in (1-4, 0-2 MEC) after opening the season with a win over Clarion 93-83 but dropping their last four games. NDC will face Ohio Dominion later today at 2 p.m. before meeting with the Lady Pioneers on Wednesday.

Lauren Macer is in her second stint as the Head Coach at NDC, previously leading the program from 2017-21. Macer came back to South Euclid after two seasons as an assistant at Purdue Fort-Wayne. She returns to the NDC program that she once led to 23 wins and an MEC Tournament Championship game appearance in 2017-18 and then led them to the title game once again in 2019-20 and the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament berth.

Noel Weathers leads the Falcons in scoring at 14.2 PPG and rebounding with 8.6 RPG. Lilee Carlson (13.8 PPG), Rachel Richardson (10.6 PPG) and Kennadi Harris (10.4 PPG) aid the offense, averaging double digits also. Harris is the leading assister at 2.0 APG. Mallory Hullinger has been active on the defensive side of the ball, racking in 1.8 SPG.

SALEM
The Tigers enter the week (1-5), lastly losing to Wheeling on Tuesday 85-56. Salem will host Concord on Wednesday prior to traveling to Glenville on Saturday.

Nikayla Edgell is in her first season as Head Coach of the Tigers. Edgell comes to Salem after serving as the top assistant at Alderson Broaddus last season. Edgell was an assistant at Salem during the 2021-22 season. She also has coaching experience at the club level with New Level Basketball Academy and played college basketball at DIII LaRoche College.

Teodora Popovic heads the offense for the Tigers, averaging a team leading 13.2 PPG and 3.5 APG. Elena Pericic averages 10.7 PPG and leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 6.5 RPG. Aneta Bluma has been solid for Salem so far, averaging 10.2 PPG, 5.3 RPG and 1.3 APG. As a team, the Tigers are shooting 41% from the field but only scoring 64.7 PPG.

THE LADY PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
The No. 22 Lady Pioneers come into the busy week (4-1, 1-1 MEC) after defeating Charleston 96-73 on Tuesday.

Hya Haywood is one of four Lady Pioneers averaging double figures at 15.8 PPG, leading all of them. Her 3.3 SPG leads the team as well. Lauren Calhoun is adding 13.8 PPG and a team-best 7.0 RPG. Chalon Miles' 49% shooting from the field is one of many reasons why the sophomore is third on the team in scoring at 12.5 PPG. Kamiyah Lyons is the final Lady Pioneer averaging double digits at 10.0 PPG.
