INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Glenville State Women's Basketball has earned an at-large bid into the 2026 NCAA DII Tournament as the six seed in the Atlantic Regional Tournament, the NCAA Announced on Sunday (Mar. 8) night's Selection Show.
This marks the first NCAA Tournament appearance for the Lady Pioneers since the 2022-23 season when Glenville State made it to the Final Four under former head coach, Kim Caldwell. The selection committee selected Indiana (Pa.) as this year's Atlantic Regional host, as the Hawks went (26-3) overall and won the PSAC Tournament Championship over Gannon earlier today.
GSU will take on third-seeded Winston-Salem State in the opening round on Friday (Mar. 13) inside Kovalchick Convention & Athletic Complex with a tip-off time to be determined. The Rams went (26-3) overall and (14-2) in CIAA play as WSSU had a historic season, also winning the CIAA Tournament over fellow NCAA Tournament team, Fayetteville State.
The Lady Pioneers are (24-6) and captured the Mountain East Conference regular season championship after going (16-4) in league play during the regular season. Glenville State fell in the MEC Tournament Championship game to Charleston, 48-43, earlier this afternoon inside WesBanco Arena. All of Glenville State's 24 wins came against regional opponents, including three wins over PSAC opponents.

Emily Stoller brings NCAA Tournament experience herself, as the former Lady Pioneer sharpshooter earned three bids into March Madness (2018, 2019, 2020) and won two NCAA Tournament games. The former player turned coach has a plethora of scorers now, including All-MEC First Team selection
Carine Pinkney (14.7 PPG) and Second Team honoree
Nwando Okigbo (11.4 PPG).
