FROSTBURG, Md. - The Glenville State Men's Basketball team picked up a road victory at Frostburg State 97-88 earlier today. GSU had a good shooting day with 53% shooting from the field and 48% from behind the arc in the win.
FSU opened up with a quick 6-0 lead and maintained a lead, even growing it to as much as 21-14 with 12 and a half minutes left in the first half. A Dominiq Penn three with eight minutes remaining gave Glenville State their first lead of the game. The Pioneers then closed the half out on a 21-7 run, gaining a commanding 53-39 lead at the break.
Four minutes into the second half, GSU grew their lead to 28 at 71-43. The Pioneers kept their advantage to over 20 for most of the 2nd half but Frostburg was able to go on a run that was too late as GSU left Maryland with the 97-88 win.
The Final Stats
Dominiq Penn had another impressive outing, scoring 27 points on 11-18 shooting with four three-pointers. Jay Scott (18 points), Trevor Chandler (18 points) and James Franklin (14 points) were all very productive coming off the bench. Devin Collins was the last double-digit scorer with 11.
Logan Lewis went 10-15 from the field and scored 22 points to lead the Bobcats. Justin Roseme added 14 points and Koby Baptiste finished with a double-double, recording 13 points and 12 rebounds.
