GLENVILLE -Â West Chester advanced to the Monday's Regional title game, defeating the University of Charleston 73-60.Â

WCU had control for most of the game. After the team's traded baskets early, the Rams took the lead for good late in the first quarter, and staked a 20-15 lead after one quarter. They extended the lead to 37-24 by halftime, and dominated the third quarter, pushing to a 19-point 59-40 advantage after three quarters.

Charleston mounted a charge, scoring the first seven points of the fourth, but the Rams rebounded to hold off the rally. They had a balanced scoring attack, led by double-doubles from Anna McTamney (20 points, 11 rebounds) and Michelle Kozicki (15 points and 10 rebounds). Leah Johnson added 13 points, Emily McAteer 11, and Morgan Warley eight.Â

West Chester led in team rebounding 41-26.Â

Dakota Reeves and Markiya McCormick each scored 18 to lead Charleston. Trinity Palacio added 13.

GLENVILLE - Glenville State advances to Monday's Regional title game with the win 107-76 win over Shippensburg University. In back-to-back seasons the Lady Pioneers have made it to the Atlantic Regional title game.
GSU had struggled in the first quarter throughout post-season play but right out of the gate made two consecutive threes. However, Shippensburg was able to weather the early storm and take a six-point lead 15-9. The Lady Pioneers closed out the first quarter on a 14-4 run taking control of the contest.
In the early minutes of the second quarter, Glenville scored eight consecutive points building the game's first double-digit lead. Before the end of the half GSU would lead by as many as 18. A pair of free throws by the Raiders heading into the half made it 51-35.
While Shippensburg shot 53% from the field in the third quarter, Glenville's offense found their rhythm from deep. GSU shot 44% from beyond the arc while hitting four threes. Once again the Raiders shot a high percentage from the field in the fourth but could keep up with the Lady Pioneers. Coach Stephens's squad hit five more threes and shot 57% from the field.
Mickayla Perdue lead the Lady Pioneers in scoring with 30 points and grabbed four rebounds. Junior Breanna Campbell was close behind Perdue with 22 and almost had a triple-double finishing the contest with eight rebounds and seven assists. Â
For the Raiders of Shippensburg Lauren Pettis had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. While Ariel Jones was in foul trouble the senior scored 15 points in 13 minutes of action.
