GSU Acrobatics and Tumbling 450 Salto Toss Unit Place Fifth at Nationals

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. - Glenville State Acrobatics and Tumbling concluded the 2023 campaign at the 2023 NCATA Nationals hosted by West Liberty University. The Lady Pioneers this afternoon faced stiff competition going against Azusa Pacific, Baylor, Gannon, and Oregon in the 450 Salto Toss.

Glenville would be first up in the Event Finals for the 450 Salto Toss. The unit of Ashton Lowe, Mackenzie Bathe, Savannah Duckworth, Sadie Eddins, Autumn Spangler, and Taylor Oldaker produced a solid performance. With this unit, GSU had their first national qualifiers for the first time since the 2019 season.

Baylor University would take the individual title with a score of 9.750. The Lady Pioneers with a score of 9.125 placed fifth. While the Lady Pioneers would not take home the title, GSU this season under Head Coach Taylor Broadwater reached heights that the program had not accomplished in many years.
