GLENVILLE, W.Va. - The Glenville State University volleyball team and head coach Kiara Perkins have unveiled the upcoming 2023 schedule.

Glenville's slate consists of 13 out-of-conference matches and 16 Mountain East Conference contests. The Lady Pioneers will face MEC North Division foes Alderson Broaddus, Fairmont State, Frostburg State, Notre Dame College, West Liberty, and Wheeling once. GSU will play a home and away set against the South Division facing Charleston, Concord, Davis & Elkins, West Virginia State, and West Virginia Wesleyan.

Coach Kiara Perkins will start her coaching career against UNC Pembroke at the Cedarville Invitational. The Braves last season were conference champions and qualified for the Southeast Regional. After closing out the Cedarville Invitational, Glenville will continue the non-conference slate against Salem. September 5th will also be the GSU's home opener.

The Lady Pioneers will travel to the Bobcat Volleyball Classic before starting Mountain East Conference play. Glenville will open conference play at home for the first time since 2021 hosting the Falcons of Fairmont State. Coach Perkins's squad will then host Davis & Elkins.

GSU will start off the month of October with two home matches against West Virginia State and Charleston. Halfway through the month, the Lady Pioneers will travel to Salem for their final non-conference contest. Glenville will end the month of October with three straight conference road matches.

The Lady Pioneers begin the final month of the season with a home contest against West Virginia Wesleyan. Last season GSU went 2-1 against the Bobcats with two of three matches going to five sets. Glenville's final road trip of the season will be at Wehrle Innovation Center facing the Golden Eagles of Charleston. The 2023 season closes out against Concord inside the Waco Center on November 10th.
