GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Men's Basketball team recorded a 93-54 victory against West Virginia Wesleyan today in the Waco Center to propel the Pioneers back over .500 in MEC play. The Pioneers shot 48% from the field and 42% from three, knocking down 14 three-pointers in the win.
Jay Scott knocked down five three-pointers in the first nine minutes of the contest, helping burst the Pioneers to a 24-12 advantage. The lead was pushed to 17 at the under-5 media timeout and eventually sat at 18 (48-30) at halftime as GSU converted on nine threes in the first half.
Out of the break, the Pioneers kept their foot on the gas with Devin Collins knocking down two three-pointers before the first media TO of the half. Jay Scott continued his scoring barrage and Jordan Turbo Smith got in on the fun as well, connecting on a pair of threes. The strong shooting carried on for the rest of the game as the Pioneers eventually closed the Bobcats out 93-54.

Jay Scott scored a career-high 29 points on 50% shooting from behind the arc. Devin Collins (15 points, nine rebounds) had a near double-double and Jordan Turbo Smith almost finished with a triple-double (13 points, nine assists, seven rebounds). Trevor Chandler was also in double figures, putting together 10 points and six boards.
Dieker Padrino was the only Bobcat to reach double digits with 21 points. Curtis Litton and Joshua Johnson both had eight points while Litton led the team in rebounding with six in the loss.
