GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Glenville State Women's Basketball team pulled away from the University of Charleston on Tuesday night to get their second conference win of the young season and head into the thanksgiving break (5-2) and (2-1) in league play. GSU surpassed the century-mark and won by a final score of 109-92.
GSU controlled the game from the opening tip as the Lady Pioneers were up 10-2 early after an Ashlyn Riley layup and GSU would take a four-point lead into the second quarter. Dream Cherry hit a three right out of the quarter break to extend the Lady Pioneer lead to seven and the advantage would eventually swell to 19 after an Ahsha Spencer layup. The score would be 51-36 at the half.
The third quarter saw back and forth action from both teams, however there was not a decisive run by either side and the Lady Pioneers would lead by 11 going into the fourth quarter, 73-62. In the fourth, GSU extended their lead and put this game out of reach for UC to mount a comeback with another Cherry three-pointer and a Tynasia Bunting self 4-0 run. Glenville State used their 36-point fourth quarter to win, 109-92.

Charleston
Ksenija Mitric and Harper Annarino led the Golden Eagles with 19 points each while Bridget Womber had 17. Harper also led the team in rebounding with 11 with Womber pulling down 10. Taylor Austin led the team in assists by dishing out four helpers in the game.
Glenville State
Tynasia Bunting recorded 23 points to lead the way for GSU while freshman Kenyah Stubbs had 15. Dream Cherry had 13 points while making three from deep and Nwando Okigbo had 11. Dejaan Schuler knocked down two threes in the game and Bunting led the team in rebounding with 12 while Ashlyn Riley had five. The Lady Pioneers recorded 19 assists in the game with Okigbo having three, Riley three and Stevi Yancy recording three. Defensively, Yancy and Cherry had three steals to lead the Lady Pioneers.
