Preview: Cross Country Ready for NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship

GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Cross Country will head to a familiar course tomorrow (Nov. 9) for the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship at West Branch Cross Country Course in Lock Haven. The Pioneers competed at West Branch earlier in the season.

THE TEAMS
The Pioneers will be accompanied by Bloomsburg, California (Pa.), Charleston, Clarion, Concord, Davis & Elkins, East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Fairmont State, Fayetteville State, Frostburg State, Gannon, Indiana (Pa.), Kutztown, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Millersville, Pitt-Johnstown, Seton Hill, Shepherd, Shippensburg, Slippery Rock, Virginia Union, West Chester, West Liberty, West Virginia Wesleyan and Wheeling.

THE PIONEERS
The Pioneers are coming off an historic day at the MEC Championships two weeks ago as Natalie Barr was All-MEC First Team and Patrick Reilly was MEC Freshman of the Year and All-MEC Second Team. Individually, Jenna Barnett was a top 30 finisher and Katie Hicks was a top 40 finisher. Savannah Cunningham took top 50 as well. Behind Reilly on the men's side was Nick Pitchford, who was 30th. Jackson Mallett and Bryan Utt placed top 50 in the meet and Dylan Blackshire was 58th. As a team, the men took 6th while being picked 7th in the preseason poll.
