BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - The Glenville State Softball team wrapped up the regular season with their fourth-straight doubleheader sweep, defeating West Virginia Wesleyan 11-1 in game one and 6-1 in game two. The Pioneers have now won 16 out of their last 19 games.

Game One – GSU 11 | WVWC 1 (6 Inn.)
The Pioneers were able to plate five runs in the first two innings, crossing two in the first on a 2-run blast from Delaney Warnick and three runs in the 2nd on a pair of RBI singles from Warnick and Kylee Goodman as well as an RBI double from Monica Rodelo. WVWC put a run on the board in the bottom of the 3rd to trim the deficit to four. Goodman and Warnick once again added RBIs for GSU in the 4th, extending the lead to 7-1.

Two innings later, Rodelo hit a grand slam to put the game out of reach. Caitlyn Kassay struck out the side in order in the bottom of the 6th as the Pioneers picked up the 11-1 mercy-rule victory.
