BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling standout Savannah Duckworth has been named MEC Athlete of the Week presented by The Health Plan, the league announced today.  

Duckworth competed in 11 events plus the team event this past week against West Virginia State. In five of the 11 events, she helped the Pioneers to a score of 9.60 or higher as well as seven scores in the 9's. Her highest score against WVSU was the 9.85 in the pyramid heat 3 while finishing with an impressive 9.625 in her individual tumbling heat (#4). Duckworth and the Pioneers were able to defeat the Yellow Jackets 257.085-160.520.
