GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State University Athletics has announced five members for the 2024 Curtis Elam Athletic Hall of Fame Class. Donita Adams, Antonio Carter, Blake Tasker, Clay Young, and Danny Williams will be the newest inductees.
 
Donita Adams '11 – Women's Basketball
Adams was a member of Glenville State's Elite Eight team in 2007 and followed that with three more amazing seasons in the blue and white. She averaged 16.1 points per game in 2008, 15.4 PPG in 2009 and 22.6 PPG in 2010, making All-WVIAC First Team. She remains ninth on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,505 career points. She has materialized an impressive career as a Sargent in the U.S. Army National Guard.
 
Antonio Carter '06 – Football
Carter was a three-time First Team All-WVIAC selection and was named the 2004 WVIAC Offensive Player of the Year. He sits third on the school's all-time receiving list with 236 career receptions, 3,172 yards, and 31 touchdowns.
 
Blake Tasker '02 – Football
Tasker still holds the second-highest total of tackles in a single season with 134 tackles in 2000. The standout linebacker was an All-WVIAC First Team performer. After Glenville State, he enjoyed a long coaching career, including an extended stint with the Pioneers as the program's Defensive Coordinator. He also remains in the top five of the school's all-time list in tackles.
 
Clay Young – Men's Basketball
Young was an NAIA All-American in 1985, closing his career with 1,508 points and 820 rebounds. That season, he averaged a double-double at 20.6 points per game and 11.2 rebounds per game. He currently sits in the top 10 all-time on both lists. He played on the last team of Hall of Famer Jesse Lilly and the first team of Hall of Famer Gary Nottingham.
 
Danny Williams '76 – Meritorious
Williams served as Glenville State's Video Coordinator for close to four decades. He was a key component to the program and department for eight different Head Coaches and six Athletic Directors. Williams was also strongly involved with the advertising and archival work of Hall of Famer Jack Woodyard.
 
A banquet and induction ceremony to honor the 2024 inductees will take place in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Ballroom at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28.
