GLENVILLE, W.Va – The Glenville State Volleyball team fell in three sets to West Liberty inside the Waco Center on Friday evening as the Pioneers drop to (10-13, 2-6 MEC) on the year.
In set one, the Pioneers were behind early but cut the WLU lead to just two after a Mikayla Curry kill, however the Hilltoppers would score the next five points and would not relinquish their lead, winning set one, 25-19. Set two would also see the Pioneers trailing early but a Kaiya Lian kill cut into the deficit. From there, GSU could not complete the comeback, falling in set two, 25-16. In the third set, the blue and white found themselves trailing by just one after a Cali Queen kill at 12-11 before WLU scored the final six points of the stanza to win the set, 25-15, and the match, 3-0.

Ashley Kudnik led the team with 15 kills while Dakoda Keni had 37 assists. On defense, Bella Dart had 14 digs, Liv McAtee had four blocks and Adrienne Staib had three blocks.
Glenville State
Cali Queen had seven kills with Mikayla Curry and Deniz Selen Yazar adding six. Elitsa Peneva had 17 assists and Sadie Hill had 10 in the defeat. Defensively, Rita Kelly had two blocks and Ava O'Hare had 10 digs.

GSU returns to the Waco Center on Saturday (Oct. 25) afternoon to face Wheeling. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
