GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Sue Morris and the Morris Family, the Glenville State Athletic Department and over 100 GSU student-athletes met yesterday (Nov. 11) morning for the annual Angel Tree Gift Wrapping Project.
Sue and Shelly Morris and the Morris Family have been working with the Angel Tree Program for over three decades. Shoppers in this program shop for individual kids with their specific wanted gifts provided through the Gilmer County Family Resource Network. Community Resource Incorporated (CRI) is the organization that the Morris Family works through for this incredible event.
Glenville State Athletics had employees and athletes help shop at the Flatwoods Walmart. Gifts range from larger items like bikes and tablets to a large selection of apparel and toys.
Along with providing new clothes and toys, the Angel Tree program also provides assistance to senior citizens and various groups in need during the Holiday Season.
"We are very excited about the success of another Gift-Wrapping Day with Sue Morris and her family," Athletic Director
Jesse Skiles said. "For several decades this charitable event has been a highlight for our department and community. Through the generosity of Sue and the Morris Family, it is going to be a brighter Christmas for so many kids. We are very blessed to be a part of this day."
Glenville State University and its Athletic Department is proud to be part of such a special event.
