GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Baseball is looking to bounce back this week as they hit the road for two non-conference games against Salem and two conference games against Point Park. GSU is scheduled to play a doubleheader on Friday (Mar. 21) against the Tigers and a doubleheader on Sunday (Mar. 23) against the Pioneers.

Currently with a (7-11) record, Salem comes in riding a four-game winning streak.

Jose Lojo leads the team in hitting with a .364 batting average and has recorded eight RBIs. Hunter Rose is hitting .351 with three home runs while Jacob Hurley is hitting .319 with five doubles and nine RBIs. Sam Schmitt is leading the pitching staff with a 1.38 ERA and has only allowed four earned runs in 26 innings. Otho Savage has started three games on the mound and has only allowed three earned runs in 15 innings.

Omar Morillo is hitting .380 with four home runs and six doubles and Crixtian Tavares is hitting .379 with seven doubles and 18 runs scored. Javier Cardoso has a 2.70 ERA in four starts and has only walked three in 23 innings. Orlando Leon has a 4.71 ERA in three starts, allowing 11 earned runs in 21 innings and Ethan Parker has a 5.06 ERA in 16 innings, allowing nine earned.

Sitting at (10-10) overall and (0-4) in the Mountain East, the Pioneers are looking to gain some traction in the MEC southern division.

The Pioneers are led by Zac Bayor with a .455 batting average, six home runs and 20 RBIs. Colby Guy is hitting over 300 at .305 and has five home runs and two doubles. Adam Bright has started every game for the Pioneers and is hitting .271 with a .464 on base percentage. Zach Laurie is hitting .264 but has provided instant offense with his four home runs and 20 RBIs. Cole Grady is leading the pitching staff with a 4.03 ERA in five starts, only allowing 13 earned runs while striking out 29 in 29 innings. Grant Landis has a 2.33 ERA in 19 innings of work with 18 strikeouts and only eight walks.
