Wilson, N.C. – The Glenville State Baseball team fell to Cedarville on Thursday afternoon by a score of 14-12 to open up the Wilson Tobs Classic in North Carolina.
The Pioneers started the scoring off with a Colby Guy solo home run in the top of the second inning, however the Yellow Jackets responded with six runs of their own in the bottom half to gain some separation. The game would be 14-4 going into the ninth inning and GSU did not go down without a fight. GSU mustered together eight runs and would get the tying run to second base but a double play ended the comeback bid.

Cedarville
Ford Duesing tossed six innings of one run ball, striking out seven and walking only two while Jordan Geiger got the save, throwing just one pitch in the ninth to close the game. Eli Henderson had two hits and two RBIs to lead the team ad Cooper Martin had one hit and three RBIs.
Glenville State
Adam Bright had six at-bats, reaching base five times via two hits and three walks. Connor Keys went 2-2 off the bench with a home run and three RBIs while Colby Guy also added a solo home run. Zac Bayor also collected two hits in the contest.
