FROSTBURG, Md. - Glenville State Softball head coach Sara Scoone became the program's all-time leader in wins as the Pioneers dominated Frostburg State in today's doubleheader, winning game one in five innings,13-1, and game two. 6-0 . The Pioneers record now stands at (28-13, 18-6 MEC).
Game One – GSU 13 | FROST 1
Zailees Seda would get the Pioneers on the board in the first inning after hitting an RBI single and Monica Rodelo made the lead two runs with an RBI single later in the inning. With the Bobcats unable to get anything going offensively, the Pioneers added two more runs in the third with a two-RBI double by Emma McLean. In the following inning, Zailees Seda and Makenna Negley notched RBIs while Monica Rodelo knocked a two-run home run to make it 8-0. Glenville State added insurance runs to their run-rule opportunity in the fifth with Seda and Gabrielle Smith picking up RBIs and Monica Rodelo blasting her second homer of the day, this time a three-run bomb, extending the GSU lead to 13-0. Frostburg State used an RBI single in the fifth to get on the board, however, the Pioneers rolled to the 13-1 victory.

Four Bobcats led the team in hits with one hit each. Maddy Shaw would have the only RBI for the team while Ava Fair scored the only run for the team. Katie Chapple picked up the loss after pitching one inning and allowing four hits and two runs.
Glenville State
Kylee Goodman led the Pioneers in hits and runs with four hits and three runs scored while Monica Rodelo led the team in RBIs with an impressive six RBIs on two home runs. Kylie Burdick picked up the win after pitching four innings, striking out three and allowing only three hits and no runs.
Game Two – GSU 6 | FROST 0
The Pioneers momentum would carry over from game one into game two as they plated two in the first inning, taking the early advantage. Glenville State scored again in the third inning, placing two more runs to go up 4-0. With Kylie Burdick still on the mound, the Bobcat hitters couldn't seem to get any offense going. In the fourth inning, the Pioneers added two more runs on a double steal and an RBI single by Monica Rodelo. Despite the Pioneers not scoring the rest of the game, the Bobcats would face the same fate as game one with GSU winning game two and taking the sweep in the doubleheader, 6-0.

The Bobcats had three different hitters account for their three knocks. Izabella Donaldson took the loss after pitching all seven innings, striking out two and allowing 11 hits.
Glenville State
Monica Rodelo and Makenna Negley led the Pioneers in hits with two apiece while Rodelo, Negley and Delaney Warnick all had one RBI each. Kylie Burdick picked up another win after pitching all seven innings and striking out five. Burdick managed to only allow six hits in the two games combined.
