GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Women's Basketball Head Coach Emily Stoller has announced the hiring of Jarrod West as an assistant coach.
West joins the staff after a very successful stint as the Head Boy's Basketball Coach at Notre Dame High School in Clarksburg, W.Va., which included a state championship in 2017.
"I am very excited and appreciative for the opportunity to coach at this level. It's been a dream and goal of mine since I began coaching 20 years ago. I want to thank Coach Stoller and Glenville State for the opportunity," said West.
During his playing time, West was a four-time All-State selection at Cathedral High School in Natchez, Miss. with 2,489 career points and an astounding 33 PPG his senior year. He went on to play at West Virginia University from 1994-1998 for head coach Gale Catlett, where West averaged 10.6 PPG, five assists and two steals his senior year to help lead the Mountaineers to the Sweet 16. He was also a four-year letterman and team captain for WVU in 1997-98, graduating with a Bachelor's in Sports Management.
"I will do everything in my power to help bring another basketball championship to Glenville while also positively mentoring student athletes. I'm wired to compete and win, as well as being big on accountability and leadership. I can't wait to get started, God is good!"
West completes Head Coach Emily Stoller's staff for the 2025-26 campaign as the Lady Pioneers open up the new year on Nov. 14-15 for an opening season classic at West Chester.
