GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Baseball will begin Mountain East Conference play this weekend, making the trip up north to take on Fairmont State on Saturday (Mar. 14) and Frostburg State on Sunday (Mar. 15).

FAIRMONT STATE
2026 Season
The Falcons enter the weekend (6-5) on the season, previously beating Kentucky Wesleyan in three out of four games. FSU and Glenville State met last season at Kenny Greenlief Field, as Fairmont State swept the doubleheader matchup.
Quick Look at The Falcons
Bryant Green has been the most consistent hitter for the Falcons offense, as the freshman is hitting .465 with a home run, 12 RBIs, four doubles and a team-leading 20 hits. Cameron Moore is second on the team in average (.378) and leads the squad in home runs with two while adding 10 RBIs. Cam Cole has been a doubles machine thus far, logging five (leads team) with a .333 average and eight RBIs. On the mound, Connor Tingler is the leading Falcon hurler, holding a 4.20 ERA, (1-1) record and 11 strikeouts in 15.0 IP. Caden Goodwin (4.76 ERA, 17.0 IP) and Micah Canterbury (5.52 ERA, 14.2 IP) have reached double digits in Ks with 14 and 13 strikeouts, respectively.
FROSTBURG STATE
2026 Season
The Bobcats come in (8-5) after dropping three out of four to West Chester. FSU had won six of their previous seven prior to the series defeat to WCU. Glenville State and Frostburg State met in Glenville last season with the Bobcats taking both matchups.

Jake Holler brings the most power to the Bobcat lineup, boasting a .333 AVG, three home runs, 13 RBIs, three doubles and a triple. Jackson Schalick is batting a team-high .391 with a home run, 12 RBIs and six doubles (leads team). Three other Bobcats have powered a home run this season as well. The pitching has been extremely good for FSU, as their top three starters have a 3.70 ERA or lower, including Zach Dodson's 2.75 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 19.2 IP. Out of the bullpen, Joey Serafin has pitched 11 innings in four appearances and is showcasing an impressive 0.82 ERA with 11 Ks.
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
2026 Season
The Pioneers are (11-5) after sweeping Lake Erie in a four-game set last weekend and dropping a midweek matchup to Seton Hill.

After struggling at the plate in 2025,
Jetsel Cajigas-Martinez has been the strongest Pioneer bat in 2026. He is batting .350 with a home run and 11 RBIs while leading the team in doubles (6) and triples (2).
Jacob Meadows (.342 AVG),
Adam Bright (.321 AVG, 1 HR, 16 RBI, 4 doubles) and
Greyson McNeill (.300 AVG, 1 HR, 11 RBIs) have added consistent hitting for 13
th-year head coach Jimmy Mullins.
Colby Guy is batting just .208 but the left-handed slugger is tied for the team lead in home runs with
Austin Carter at two.
William Chu has been lights out for the Pioneers on the bump, making seven appearances (two starts) and logging a 1.04 ERA, .92 WHIP and nine strikeouts in 17.1 IP. Wheeling transfer
Zach Dellerman leads the team in strikeouts with 17 and has picked up two wins with a 2.55 ERA.
Grant Landis is (2-0) with a 2.75 ERA and 13 strikeouts in his 19.2 IP this season as the team's number one starter.
