GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Baseball will wrap up the early season portion of their non-conference schedule this weekend, welcoming Lake Erie of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) for a four-game set at the Sue Morris Sports Complex on Saturday (Mar. 7) and Sunday (Mar. 8).

2026 Season
The Storm enter the weekend (1-9) overall after falling to Fairmont State on Sunday (Mar. 1) in the Atlantic Region Crossover. LEC logged their first win of the season on Saturday (Feb. 28) against Lock Haven in an 11-10, 11-inning ballgame.

Hunter Aurand and Travis Yankovich both have hit two home runs with Aurand adding a .241 average and five RBIs. Brendan Hazuda has been the best hitter for average thus far, hitting .357 with 10 hits in 28 at-bats. Dominic Poltrone has pitched the most innings (14.2) and has the lowest ERA for qualified pitchers at 3.68. He's also struck out 14 batters, which is a team high.

The Pioneers come in (7-4) following a (1-2) weekend at the Atlantic Region Crossover, where GSU fell to Shepherd and Indiana (Pa.) before defeating Walsh.

Adam Bright, who garnered MEC Player of the Week honors a couple weeks ago, is batting .359 with a home run, 14 RBIs and four doubles to lead the Pioneers.
Jacob Meadows has continued to impress early on, boasting a .421 average with three RBIs and a double.
Austin Carter is hitting just over the Mendoza line, but the utility man has accumulated two home runs, which leads the team.
On the mound, starter Grand Landis has pitched 13.2 IP and is (1-0) with a 3.29 ERA and nine strikeouts in three starts.
William Chu has started and came out of the bullpen (five appearances, one start), showcasing a 1.38 ERA and seven Ks in 13.0 IP.
Zach Dellerman is becoming a super utility man for 13
th-year head coach Jimmy Mullins, being (2-1) on the mound with a 3.29 ERA while hitting .308 with two doubles and six RBIs in the box.
