BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Glenville State Baseball program has finished third in the Mountain East Conference South Division and will be the No. 3 seed in this week's MEC Baseball Tournament, the league announced.
 
The Pioneers closed out the regular season (27-21) overall and (16-14) in league play. 2026 marks the second time in three seasons that GSU has made the MEC Tournament, as the Pioneers were the No. 2 seed from the south in 2024.
 
Glenville State will take on north division champion Wheeling in the opening round of the MEC Tournament at GoMart Ballpark in Charleston, W.Va. at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday (May 6). The Cardinals were crowned divisional champions after finishing 2026 with a record of (36-14) overall and (21-7) in league play.
