GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Women's Soccer will open the 2026 season tomorrow (Aug. 29) at Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania. This will be the first ever time the two teams compete.

2025 Season
The Yellow Jackets finished their 2025 season under fifth year head coach George DeAugustino with a (17-3-2) overall record, and a conference record of (8-1-2). The impressive season concluded with a win in the ECAC DIII Women's Soccer Championship.

Waynesburg will look to repeat their success with returning scoring leader and senior Julz Mohrbacher, who scored 17 goals with 7 assists, second leading scorer Amanda Pepe (13 goals), and senior goalkeeper Lex Greenlief, who recorded 108 saves in 2025 season. The Yellow Jackets had four players named first-team All-ECAC in 2025 with 3 of them returning, adding to their strong roster outlook.

2025 Season
The Pioneers ended last season with an overall record of (6-12-1) and a conference record of (5-9-1). Their final match of the season was played against Fairmont State in the MEC Tournament where they lost by 3 goals. Glenville's biggest victory was a 7-0 win against Salem.

The Pioneers welcome a new head coach, Nat Wilkes, for the 2026 season. Nat was an assistant coach in 2023 and returns along with leading scorers Aitana Viejo and Solares Solano, who earned a spot on the All-MEC Second Team and All-MEC Freshman Team for the 2025 season. The Pioneers look to improve upon last season's results with a new coach, new players, and a fresh start.
