GLENVILLE – Glenville's Wrestling team continues to make history in their 2022 season. This weekend, Coach Dylan Cottrell's team will have two athletes competing in the NCAA National Wrestling Championships in St. Louis.
Hunter DeLong advanced out of the Super Regionals in the 174-pound class. The junior from Parkersburg, West Virginia, is a product of the iconic Parkersburg South program. He has posted a 35-12 record to date this season. DeLong is in his first season as a Pioneer after transferring from West Virginia University.
Cole Houser advanced in the 184-pound class. The junior from Bellefontaine, Ohio, is a product of Benjamin Logan High School. Houser has been one of the most consistent Pioneer wrestlers this season, recording a record of 38-10 to date. Houser in his second season as a Pioneer after transferring from Urbana University.
First Round matches at Nationals begin on Friday at St. Louis' Chaifetz Center. Wrestlers advancing to the placement matches will grapple for All-American hardware on Saturday.
