Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Pioneer baseball team picked up a win over the Senators of Davis & Elkins on Wednesday afternoon at the Sue Morris Sports Complex.

Davis & Elkins struck first in the top of the first off of a Hunter Thomas homerun as they led 1-0.

Glenville State scored their first run in the bottom of the fourth. Zach Sanford singled which scored Bryan Bayliss and later John Peloro scored off of a D&E error as the Pioneers led 2-1.

GSC later added to their lead in the sixth inning off of a John Peloro double scoring Kyle Johnston as the Pioneers led 3-1. The Senators cut GSC's lead to one in the seventh but the Pioneers held on for the victory 3-2.

Glenville State had just two hits in the game while Davis & Elkins finished with seven hits.

Zach Sanford went 1-for-2 with an RBI while John Peloro went 1-for-2 with an RBI and scored a run.

Tyler McKinsey picked up the win on the mound.

Glenville State (5-14) hits the road this Friday, March 31^st as they travel to Urbana University for a double-header with the Blue Knights.
