Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Pioneer baseball team only managed six hits while giving up 18 hits to Rams of Winston-Salem State as they fell at home 12-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
Winston-Salem scored their first run in the second and added another run in the third and two in the fourth as they held a 4-0 lead over Glenville State.
The Rams continued their strong play as they added three runs in the fifth and four more runs in the seventh, hitting back-to-back-to-back homeruns, as they held a big advantage over GSC 11-0.
However GSC would get on the scoreboard in the eighth as
Isaiah Moss hit his first homerun of the season as the Pioneer made it 11-1.
The Rams added another later run ninth as they defeated the Pioneers 12-1.
Isaiah Moss led GSC as he went 1-for-1 with a homerun while
Bryan Bayliss,
John Peloro,
Hunter Johnson,
Tanner Helms, and
Bradley Rodden all recorded a hit.
Art'om rank pitched 3.2 innings allowing seven hits, four runs, and struck out four batters.
Glenville State (10-19, 7-9) returns to conference play this weekend as they travel to Charleston on Friday, April 14
th for a 1:00 p.m. matchup with the Golden Eagles.Â
