The Pioneers come into the tournament at 5-1 on the year as the Blue and White took a two-one game series over Jefferson Rams to conclude last weeks' action.
Saturday's matchup ended in walk-off fashion as Pioneers defeated the Rams 1-0 with a solo shot to right field from
Chase Swain in extra innings. Game two of the double header ended in similar manner as the game was forced into extra innings as
Johnny Arroyo drove in
Devante Rose from second to take the game 6-5.
Pioneer Highlights
Tre'von Smith leads the Blue and White at the plate with a .500 batting average tallying six hits with two doubles and a homerun.
Mathew Mangum and
Tyler Phillips both slugged their second homerun on the year to go with their sixth and eighth RBI's.
Jesse Weathers,
Chase Swain and James Finniemore are all 1-0 on the year with a 0.00 ERA.
Finniemore tallies 12 strikeouts as
Jose Rodriguez and Weathers each have 10.

Ohio Valley opens the season slowly with a 1-5 start with losses to
University Of Montevallo and
Lincoln Memorial University.
Giovanni Aiuto leads the team with eight hits averaging .348 at the plate. Leonardo Diaz is 1-0 on the hill with seven strikeouts.
Laker Files
Mercyhurst will enter the contest with one game under their belt prior to facing off the Pioneers against Concord University.
The Lakers completed the 2019 season 36-16 averaging .253 at the plate and .377 on base percentage.

The Pioneers will return to action at home hosting the second round robin weekend against, Mansfield, Clarion and Lock Haven February 28-29.
