Kim Stephens' Lady Pioneers return to MEC action Wednesday night, hosting Notre Dame College. The Falcons are coming off a 14-4 season in 2021, and an NCAA Tournament berth in 2020.
In what promises to be another strong early season league test, Glenville enters the game with an overall record of 5-0, 1-0 in the MEC. In Monday's 88-54 non-conference victory over Pitt-Johnstown,
Taychaun Hubbard led the way with 21 points, followed by
Re'Shawna Stone with 16. Stone leads the team and the MEC in scoring at 18.8 points per game, while
Abby Stoller is the squad's top rebounder at 9.0 rebounds per game.
Notre Dame comes to town with a 3-3 overall mark. They are a perfect 2-0 in the league, with wins on the board over Wheeling and West Liberty. They are led by Alana Ellis who is just behind GSC's Stone in MEC scoring with (18.5 ppg), Jen Oduhu (15.0 ppg), and veteran star Jada Marone (14.5 ppg). Lilee Carlson leads the team in assists with 2.5 per game, while Tamia Ridley leads in rebounding with 10.8.
Tip-off is set for 5:30 at the Waco Center.
