Holding the third seed in the Southern Division, the Pioneers will enter the series 13-9 overall and 9-7 in conference play after defeating D&E 3-for-4 last weekend. Within the conference, Glenville State seeds fourth in batting averages with .280 and hold a 6.41 ERA.
West Virginia State, ahead of the Pioneers by three games and one seed, are 15-8 overall and 12-4 in MEC action. Offensively, the Yellow Jackets are also hitting .288 and defensively are pitching with an ERA of 4.01. Against WVSU, Glenville State is 2-10.

Tre'von Smith leads the Mountain East sixth and seventh in RBIs and Slugging Percentage with 21 and .654 respective. Smith also is fifth in homeruns with five on the year.
Mathew Mangum leads the conference in walks with 18 this season and fifth in stolen bases with nine.
