Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Pioneer Baseball team is in full swing and will jump right back into action this weekend.
This Saturday and Sunday GSC will be traveling to the University of Charleston for a four game series with nationally ranked Golden Eagles on Saturday and Sunday.

The GSC Pioneer Baseball team (13-12, 9-11 MEC) is still holding the No. 3 spot in the MEC Standings after dropping a four game series this past weekend to the Yellow Jackets of West Virginia State. All four of the Pioneer and Yellow Jackets game were close. GSC tallied 13 runs in the series while WVSU tallied 22 total runs.
The University of Charleston (24-4, 18-2 MEC) comes into the four game series nationally ranked in Division II. They took 3-of-4 games this past weekend from the Senators of Davis & Elkins. UC totaled 37 runs in the four games while D&E scored 14 runs.
UC's Braxton Boddorf leads the Golden Eagles with a .429 batting average with 36 hits, one home run, and 27 RBI's. Bryce Toussaint is hitting .425 with 31 hits, one home run, and 13 RBI's.
Logan Campbell is 7-0 on the mound with 66 strike outs while Colt Webb and Austin Henrich is also 4-0 on the season.

Tyler Phillips is batting .373 with 22 hits, three home runs, 19 RBI's with an on base percentage if .487.
Colby Werry is hitting .368 with 21 hits, a home run, and nine RBI's.
Duane Englund leads the Pioneers in home runs with seven while
Tre'von Smith has five on the year.
Diego Tamariz leads GSC on the mound with 35 strike outs while
Adam Riggleman is 3-3 on the mound with 28 strike outs.
