Glenville, W.Va. – After an exciting double-header walk off split last week, the Pioneers are in need of several wins this weekend to hold their third seed in the MEC Southern Division. Glenville State is set to host Davis & Elkins this weekend in a four game series in the Pioneers homecoming festivities.

Entering the weekend with a 10-7 overall and 6-6 conference record Glenville State, sits third behind West Virginia State who is 12-6, 6-3 MEC. At the plate, GSC is hitting .280 with opponents not far behind with .279. GSC also tallies a 5.71 ERA as a whole with 6.79 against rivals.
Davis & Elkins the fourth seed in the MEC sits 4-8 overall and in conference, as the Senators did not play any non-conference games. Cole Hitch with a .407 offensive attack leads D&E with Chase DeGrood following with a .324. On the mound for the Senators, Zachary McGillian 2.21 ERA.

Tre'von Smith continues to lead the Pioneers at the plate with a .351 ERA with a team high 20 hits this season.
Duane Englund leads with four home runs and tied team high scoring 18 runs along with Mathew Mangum who also has drawn 17 walks.
