Box Score 2 Buckhannon, W.Va. – Clinching two wins against MEC rival and winning the series against West Virginia Wesleyan College (5-23), Glenville State (16-17, 12-16 MEC) holds on in their fight to the MEC Championship Tournament. The Pioneers picked up game two's victory after trailing 4-6 going into the seventh inning and forcing the Bobcats into extra innings.

How It Happened
Game One:
Fabian Escalante got things rolling for the Pioneers offensively as he hit a no-doubter to right field which was the start to a slug fest.
After holding WVWC to three scoreless innings the Bobcat's marked a run in the fourth and another two in the fifth, both being solo home runs which would be the only time they held the lead.
Tre'von Smith clapped back with a solo homerun to right center for the Pioneer's while
Ryker Rivera followed behind reaching first by error and was advanced by a sacrifice hit as
Duane Englund scored.
Shane Talvacchio earned an RBI in sacrifice fashion as he flew out to center field scoring
Ryker Rivera.
The Pioneer's made a statement in their last appearance at the plate as Ryan Rodrigues tripled to right center scoring
Tre'von Smith.
With heads up offense
Ryan Rodriguez scored off of WVWC's error as the Pioneer's won the contest 6-3.
Game Two:
After two scoreless innings GSC struck first in the third as
Zach Morris singled to left field while
Tre'von Smith came behind with a single to left field as well scoring Morris.
WVWC answered back with a run in the third.
Glenville got action happening again in the fourth as
Ryan Rodriguez earned a spot on first as he was hit by a pitch with
Spencer Blackburn delivering a double to left center while Rodriguez advanced to third.
Devante Rose and
Matthew Mangum each earned a spot on first as they both were hit by a pitch. Mangum's trip to first sent Rodriguez home. Adding to the action, Morris flew out to right field as Blackburn scored for the Pioneers.
Wesleyan tallied another run in the fourth and three more in the fifth.
The Pioneer's did not lay down. In the sixth, Shane Tavacchio got the ball rolling as he drew a walk,
Devante Rose then sent one to deep left field scoring Talvaccio.
Continuing the back and forth action WVWC scored two more runs in the sixth as they took a two run lead.
In the top of the seventh GSC did their job at the plate. Smith started the crew off with a walk as
Duane Englund delivered behind him as he singled to right center and advanced to second while
Tre'von Smith advanced to third on a wild throw.
Fabian Escalante made a statement at the plate as he doubled to right field sending Englund and Smith home to tie the ball game.
GSC finished strong in their last appearance to the plate. Mangum drew a walk to get and stole second to set the tone for the inning. As a huge threat at the plate
Tre'von Smith was intentionally walked. Englund then reached on a fielders that allowed Mangum to score off a Bobcat error.
Adding to the action Englund swiped second as Escalante walked behind him. Due to a wild pitch all runners advanced with Smith touching home with Rodriguez following up with a single to second base as Englund scored winning the ballgame 9-6.
