Box Score 2 GLENVILLE – Coach Jimmy Mullins' Glenville State Baseball team improved to 5-1 Saturday afternoon, splitting games one and two of the weekend's four-game set with Mansfield. The two teams' will close the series tomorrow at the Sue Morris Complex.
Glenville could not mount a comeback in Game One as the Mountaineers closed out a 6-3 win. The Pioneers received RBI's in the initial contest from Mason Lohr, Ryker Rivera, and Zach Morris.
Pioneer bats erupted in the second game, as the squad hit double figures in runs for the fourth time in six games this season. When the dust settled, GSC had closed the day with a convincing 10-1 win. Diego Tamariz provided the squad his second quality start of the young season, going five innings to move his record to 2-0.

The two teams reconvene at the Morris Complex tomorrow. Games Three and Four are set for 1:00 and 3:30.
