GLENVILLE – Coach Jimmy Mullins' Glenville baseball team returns home this weekend, playing four games against MEC Northern Division foes. The games, originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday have been moved to Sunday and Monday due to weather concerns.
Notre Dame and veteran head coach Lenny Barker comes to the Sue Morris Complex on Sunday for a doubleheader, and Alderson-Broaddus will invade Glenville on Monday. First pitch will be set for 1:00 each day.
Glenville enters the weekend with a 14-4 overall record, and 2-2 in the MEC. Notre Dame is 6-13 (2-2), and AB is 0-15 (0-4).
Adam Riggleman became the school's all-time strikeout leader last week, and boasts a 5-0 record this season. He has recorded 39 strikeout in 30.1 innings, and has a 1.15 ERA. Diego Tamariz is 4-1 with a 1.28 ERA, and has 35 strikeouts of his own in 27.1 innings.
Offensively, four different Pioneer qualifiers are hitting over .350; Fabian Escalante (.409), Mitch Lohr (.359), Ryan Rodriguez (.351), and Darius Barton (.350). Calen Kampes and Trevon Smith lead in the power numbers as Kampes has four home runs and 23 RBIS, while Smith has two home runs and 16 RBI's.
