GLENVILLE – For the first time in school history, the Glenville baseball program has been recognized in the Atlantic Regional rankings. In this week's release of the NBCWA Poll, the Pioneers of Coach Jimmy Mullins was ranked in the #6 spot. This honor came on the heels of a weekend sweep in the MEC/PSAC Crossover Tournament.
Glenville defeated Kutztown, Mercyhurst, and Millersville in consecutive days. GSU now has three starting pitchers that have started their season with 3-0 records; Diego Tamariz, Adam Riggleman, and Austin Corn.
The Pioneers remain in the PSAC this weekend, hosting Lock Haven for a four-game set.
Glenville enters the series with a 10-1 record. Lock Haven comes to Glenville with a 5-5 record, including a win over nationally ranked (#13) Mt Olive. Both weekend days will have doubleheaders, with the first pitch set for 1:00.
